An agentic platform for enterprise tech-stack migration

A Tredence internal platform using retrieval over an indexed source estate to automate 70% of manual migration work.

  • 70% of manual migration work automated. Tredence internal migration platform.
  • RAG retrieval-grounded automation with human checkpoints. Tredence internal migration platform.

Context & problem

Enterprise data-stack migrations are slow, expert-bound, and mostly manual: legacy pipelines and configuration must be understood, mapped, and rewritten against the target platform, at a scale where human review becomes the bottleneck. Tredence needed a reusable internal system that could reduce repetitive work while keeping important decisions reviewable by people.

My role

Led the end-to-end design of the platform: retrieval architecture, LLM orchestration, and the containerized microservice deployment model.

Architecture

An agentic, retrieval-grounded pipeline: LLM reasoning over a vector index of the source estate and migration knowledge, decomposing migration work into reviewable tasks, orchestrated as containerized microservices, with human-in-the-loop checkpoints at the decision points that matter, and validation gates that measured parity between source and target.

Measured result

Automated 70% of previously manual migration work.
